Boston, Mass., Circa 1830, 8-day patent or banjo timepiece, incomplete.
CONDITION:
mahogany case in as found condition in need of restoration. Bottom door is missing; bottom panel is loose {there are 2, the original {broken} and a replacement bottom}. Throat door now gold painted with one of the small pieces of rope trim missing. Period painted dial that could be a replacement. Unknown banjo type weight brass movement of circa 1930 is not original to the case. Side-arms are later additions. Includes modern lead weight, no pendulum. Ht 29.5"
